Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of fabricated metal products and assemblies that support a variety of security-focused applications. Drive end-to-end product development efforts, converting market needs and customer requirements into commercially successful, manufacturable security products. Develop, administer, and optimize product configurator models, rules, and logic to streamline quoting, configuration, and order-entry processes. Create, verify, and standardize installation guides, technical documentation, user manuals, and product communications for internal stakeholders and field personnel. Direct the design and engineering of sophisticated mechanical systems from concept through production, balancing performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives. Coach and support junior engineers, designers, and technicians through technical mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage cross-functional development teams while leading design reviews and translating customer expectations into clear engineering requirements and executable project plans. Conduct detailed structural and load analyses, perform finite element simulations, select appropriate materials, and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
Strong mechanical and structural experience with a problem-solving and solution-driven thinking. Ability to manage complex NPD engineering projects (short and long term). Engineering degree required - mechanical preferred. 10+ years of relevant mechanical design experience - metals manufacturing strongly preferred. Knowledge of measurement tools, GD&T, FEA, etc. 5-10+ years of new product development. Strong experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Suite, and project management tools.
Salary 130,000-145,000. Target bonus. Profit sharing. 10% 401k match. Medical/dental/vision plans. Other ancillary benefits. 3 weeks PTO.
