Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Senior Mechanical Engineer job in Princeton, IL.  This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the global security and access control industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the Development and design of products that improve building security and seamless access. In order to be successful in this position, you must have a background in design development process. Preference will be given to someone with Proficiency in engineering tools including FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis & DFM/DFA.

Mechanical Test Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Improve product designs to meet reliability, quality and cost targets.
• Execute projects in a team work environment to bring products to market.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and other functions to create and justify business cases.
• Support cross functional engineering, manufacturing, and product test teams by understanding and solving problems.

Qualifications:

• Five plus years of experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, including: stamping, forging, casting, powder metal, machining, injection molding.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, including: stamping, forging, casting, powder metal, machining, injection molding.

• Understanding of high tolerance / high volume machining and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling, Creo preferred.
