Client Overview:
Our client is a global medical technology organization dedicated to advancing innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes. They are recognized for their collaborative culture, commitment to scientific excellence, and focus on delivering meaningful innovations that enhance the lives of patients worldwide. The organization partners closely across Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to bring evidence-based healthcare solutions to market. Our client is seeking a Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist to join their Global Medical Affairs team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$75/hr - $85/hr

Position Overview:
The Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist will leverage clinical expertise and scientific knowledge to support medical communications, evidence dissemination, and cross-functional initiatives that communicate the clinical value of innovative medical technologies. This individual will partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment across global medical communication activities. The Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist will play a key role in interpreting clinical evidence, responding to complex medical inquiries, and supporting evidence generation strategies that inform product development and healthcare decision-making.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist:
  • Develop and deliver scientifically accurate medical responses to healthcare provider inquiries while ensuring compliance with applicable global regulations and company policies.
  • Review global promotional and medical communication materials for scientific accuracy, medical integrity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development of evidence generation strategies that strengthen clinical data, support regulatory initiatives, and drive product innovation.
  • Coordinate implementation and maintenance of medical information and data management systems in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Develop and execute medical communication plans to effectively disseminate clinical evidence to healthcare professionals, internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and other audiences.
  • Analyze published clinical literature, treatment guidelines, and disease state information to support medical, regulatory, and commercial strategies.
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Regulatory Affairs teams to prepare clinical summaries supporting global regulatory submissions.
  • Assist in maintaining clinical quality standards and ensuring medical processes align with evolving industry best practices.
  • Support planning and execution of regional, national, and international scientific congress activities, including presentations, publications, and medical information support.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure scientific communications accurately reflect clinical evidence while meeting global compliance standards.
Required Experience/Skills for the Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, healthcare, medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience interpreting clinical evidence and translating scientific information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
  • Strong understanding of medical information processes and scientific communications.
  • Experience reviewing promotional or medical content for scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, Quality, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using medical information or document management systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist:
  • Experience supporting global Medical Affairs organizations.
  • Background within medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated healthcare industries.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management, digital health technologies, connected medical devices, or therapeutic technologies.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Experience supporting scientific congresses, publications, and medical education initiatives.
  • Advanced scientific or clinical communication experience.
  • Experience working with medical communication software, Adobe products, or promotional review platforms.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related, life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or clinical discipline required.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PharmD, PA, NP, RN, RD, PhD, or similar healthcare credential) preferred.
  • Relevant clinical certifications or specialty certifications are considered a plus.
