About the Role
Every Financial Center has its own rhythm, team, and staffing needs. As a Senior Member Experience Advisor, Floater (Sr. MEA), you’ll bring your experience, flexibility, and leadership skills wherever additional support is needed across the Southland Credit Union network.
With Los Alamitos as your home Financial Center, you’ll have the opportunity to take on assignments at other Financial Centers based on staffing and business needs. Some assignments may be short-term, while others may last longer, giving you the opportunity to become a familiar and trusted part of a team while supporting the organization where you’re needed most.
You’ll continue doing the work you enjoy as a universal banker—building relationships, helping members with their financial needs, and supporting day-to-day Financial Center operations—while also serving as a resource and mentor to the associates around you.
This role is a strong fit for an experienced banking professional who enjoys variety, adapts easily to new environments, and wants to expand their leadership skills without stepping away from the member relationships that make the work meaningful.
A Senior Resource Wherever You’re Needed
Your day-to-day work will vary based on the Financial Center and assignment you’re supporting. You may be processing transactions, opening memberships and deposit accounts, assisting with consumer lending conversations, or helping members find products, services, and digital solutions that fit their needs.
You’ll bring the same focus on accuracy, service, and relationship-building to each assignment. Outbound outreach, appointment scheduling, member follow-up, and community engagement may also be part of your work as you help strengthen relationships and support established service, membership growth, referral, digital adoption, and production goals.
The flexibility of this position means you’ll have the chance to experience different Financial Center environments and learn how different teams operate. Whether you’re providing coverage for a shorter-term staffing need or spending more time with a team on a longer assignment, you’ll be expected to step in, build relationships, and contribute quickly.
Lead by Example
Your experience will also make you an important resource for the associates around you. You’ll answer questions, share best practices, reinforce service standards, and provide peer coaching that helps others build confidence in their roles.
You’ll support onboarding and training for new associates and help reinforce operational expectations through your everyday interactions. You may lead daily huddles, support organizational initiatives, and provide guidance when the Financial Center Supervisor is away.
When leadership coverage is needed, you’ll help keep the Financial Center moving by supporting workflow coordination, opening and closing responsibilities, and day-to-day execution. The goal isn’t simply to step in—it’s to bring experience, stability, and a positive leadership presence to the team you’re supporting.
