Description

The Krusteaz Company is looking to add a new Senior Distribution and Warehouse Manager to the company! This role is responsible for optimizing service and cost for storage, distribution, and delivery of finished goods. While leading the site Logistics, Inventory Control, Deployment, and Material Coordinator Teams, this position strategically partners with Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Quality and Sales. This individual leads companywide warehouse and inventory management best practices and continuous improvement efforts. This role will be based out of the Pontoon Beach, IL/Edwardsville, IL surrounding areas.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

  • Manage end-to-end operations including · Oversee inbound, storage, staging, and outbound operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance adherence.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, evaluate warehouse staff and subordinate supervisors. Sets expectations, tracks results, and manages accountability for all areas of logistics.
  • Enforce OSHA guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and maintain site security and emergency protocols.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, oversee cycle counts, reconcile system data, and minimize loss or shrinkage.
  • Analyze performance metrics (KPIs) and report to senior leadership on financials, volume, and operational bottlenecks. Provides leadership and strategic focus within our supply chain to reduce cost and inventory levels as well as improve service levels.
  • Manages financial performance, including budgeting, costing, tracking of expenses and direct labor, and results feedback.
  • Manages Deployment function to meet network wide service and inventory targets.
  • Develops and executes companywide plans to improve warehouse operation systems including raw materials and finished goods handling, storage, inventory management, product quality, space utilization, shipping, equipment management and labor management. This is achieved by collaboration with Plant Managers and DC Managers.
  • In collaboration with Customer Logistics Team, understands all customer shipping expectations and requirements.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds shipping measures for both the company and our customers.
  • Works closely with Customer Logistics to optimize freight (both inbound and outbound) and plan outside storage requirements.
  • Develops a collaborative/integrated effort with Manufacturing to achieve targeted Site productivity metrics.
  • Coaches, teaches and coordinates programs for team members to develop technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
  • Systematically solves problems and implements effective solutions to root causes of problems
  • Manages operations to comply with HR regulations and company policies and guidelines

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; delegating tasks to and partnering with employees who have leadership responsibilities; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or equivalent manufacturing or distribution experience
  • 8 years of leadership experience in continuously increasing levels of responsibility in Logistics, Distribution, or Operations.

Salary Information: An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $124,320 and $192,657. We typically pay out between $130,000 and $150,000. The actual salary offered will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, certification, training, and location. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This position requires working in both manufacturing and office environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included. Must be able to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment. You may also be on your feet for several hours a day and may be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects, climb stairs, exert energy, bend, twist and squat and use tools and equipment in an indoor production environment that has a high level of food dust and limited climate control while wearing PPE.
