    Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Operational Excellence to own Delivery Quality and Metric Readiness for Amazon Now"s entire Quick Commerce (QC) network. This leader will be accountable for post-dispatch quality outcomes - DEA, DNR, concessions, and VOC - and for ensuring the QC network has the right metrics, defined correctly, prioritized appropriately, and ready to operate against from Day 1.

This is a high-visibility role that demands executive presence, quantitative depth, and a bias for resolution over reporting. The right candidate works fluidly across Tech, Product, Program, and Operations, thrives in fast-moving environments, and turns ambiguity into structure. They will build and lead a team that leads with data - analyzing trends, building metrics, and driving performance outcomes across the network.

    Key job responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

Set the delivery quality bar across the QC supply chain and drive accountability to it - own outcomes, not just analysis

Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of operational excellence, supply chain analytics, and data professionals

Architect data-driven root-cause frameworks for post-dispatch defects across the supply chain; use statistical methods to isolate failure modes and drive structural resolution

Define the metric readiness strategy: what to measure across the supply chain, how to define it, how to build the data pipelines, and how to maintain parity at scale

Build and maintain dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and analytical models that provide real-time visibility into supply chain and delivery quality performance

Influence VP-level leadership with crisp, data-driven narratives on quality trends, supply chain risks, and investment tradeoffs

Drive cross-functional alignment across Supply Chain, Tech, Product, Program, and Last Mile - breaking through organizational boundaries to resolve systemic issues

Translate VOC and supply chain data into prioritized action with clear ownership, SLAs, and closed-loop mechanisms

Establish scalable operating cadences (WBRs, audits, statistical process control) that drive discipline across the distributed supply chain network

Shape quality and metric standards for new site launches and network expansion - ensuring supply chain and operational readiness before Day 1

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
