Job Description:

Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Sr Mobile Engineer with one of our top clients in Miami, FL.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience working on Native Android/iOS Development
  • Expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) development
  • Experience with hybrid frameworks such as React Native or Flutter

Location: Miami, FL

Onsite expectation: 3x a week onsite in Miami, FL

Open to relocation candidates

Pay range: $60-$63 an hour

Role Overview

The Senior Engineer, Software plays a critical role in the development and enhancement of mobile applications across iOS, Android, and hybrid platforms. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure mobile solutions while ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver features within an Agile framework, provide mentorship to junior developers, and stay updated with emerging mobile technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of mobile applications, selecting appropriate frameworks and technologies for native and hybrid solutions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and create technical documentation.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and testable code while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and implement security measures to protect user data.
  • Optimize mobile applications for performance, battery efficiency, and responsiveness, addressing bottlenecks and latency issues.
  • Provide accurate development estimates, participate in Agile processes, and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging mobile technologies to drive continuous improvement and lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience working on Native Android/iOS Development.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) development.
  • Experience with hybrid frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
