Sr .net Software Engineer - 3625664

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Sr .net Developer position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and can be hybrid in Buffalo, NY or remote. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.

Position Overview:

This role focuses on modernizing legacy applications by refactoring an existing on-prem Java app to .net and migrating the app to the cloud. You’ll also support the migration of applications from on-prem environments to Azure, working across front-end, cloud, and API layers.

Ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development in .net, building and integrating REST APIs, and leveraging Azure (including APIM) to deliver scalable, modern solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, analyze, develop, and support applications ranging from basic to complex enhancements
• Support in the refactoring from Java/Spring Boot/Oracle to .net/SQL while also migrating applications to Azure cloud
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and services
• Design, implement, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), ensuring secure and scalable integrations
• Lead and coordinate development tasks across small to large-scale initiatives
• Develop and execute test plans, including debugging and validation
• Analyze system integrations and dependencies across platforms and applications
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications
• Ensure stability, performance, and efficiency of supported applications

What You'll Need to Have:

• Minimum of 5+ years of application development experience
• Strong experience with .net (primary requirement)
• Strong experience with on-prem to Azure cloud migrations (primary requirement)
• Strong experience with REST API development and integration
• Experience supporting production systems in a highly regulated environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills 

Pay Range: $65 - $75/hr
