Sr. Network Engineer

Location: within the US (CONUS)

Role Overview

This organization is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support infrastructure modernization of unclassified and classified base area networks. The role will involve site survey, design, and installation activities across inside plant/outside plant (ISP/OSP), network, voice, and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure as part of a Global Enterprise Network Modernization contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site surveys and engineering teams in the design of modernized network architecture.
• Review and analyze network management and monitoring tools to provide network topology, configuration, and bandwidth utilization.
• Support the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts using tools like Visio for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.
• Develop Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP) and a corresponding List of Materials (LOM).
• Provide technical Level of Efforts (LOE) for survey, design, and implementation to support resource-loaded schedules.
• Participate in internal and external technical discussions for multiple global time zones.
• Design, implement, and document secure network architectures, including compliance checklists and documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and that sites are restored to their original or better condition.
• Develop and perform technical presentations for customers.

Required Qualifications

Education: A university degree (BA/BS) is required.

Experience: Candidates must have 7+ years of related work experience, including designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.

Technical Skills: Experience with drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD is required.

Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC) and a CCNP/JNCP or equivalent certification are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting OCONUS Army networks.
• Experience working with USFK and US Army Network infrastructure in Korea.
• CISSP certification.

Work Environment

This position requires up to 50% travel within the Continental U.S.
