Role Overview
TURNBRIDGE is seeking an Onsite Network Infrastructure Engineer to support the buildout of a newly constructed data center in Plano, Texas. This role serves as the primary IT representative onsite, working closely with construction, low-voltage, and building management teams to drive the completion of network and IT infrastructure through Ready for Service (RFS).
This position begins as a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role supporting ongoing data center operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite IT representative for data center construction activities
- Participate in daily construction meetings to align IT work with active build phases
- Drive completion of IT infrastructure through Ready for Service (RFS)
- Oversee and supervise low-voltage cabling installations to ensure adherence to company standards
- Coordinate with building management, low-voltage teams, and vendors installing cameras, badge readers, and related systems
- Perform switch configuration, port configuration, and ongoing port commissioning
- Ensure cabling, wiring, and network infrastructure meet documented standards and processes
- Support infrastructure builds for video systems, access control, phone systems, and camera systems
- Maintain project momentum by identifying blockers and keeping IT deliverables on schedule
- Support workstation configuration and domain integration for security and support teams as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting data center construction or buildouts in active construction environments
- Comfortable working onsite in construction zones with required PPE (boots, vest, hard hat)
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including switches, ports, and commissioning
- Experience supervising or coordinating low-voltage installations (hands-on wiring not required)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with construction, facilities, and IT teams
- Solid project coordination skills with attention to standards and documentation
- Experience operating in environments where the majority of processes are documented

- Majority of work is post-implementation and commissioning-focused
- No application management responsibilities
- Approximately 90% of processes are documented
- This is a fully onsite role in support of data center construction
