Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Network Engineer to join an advanced separation technologies company in Washington, DC. The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining secure and high-performing network infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring reliable connectivity, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards.
Responsibilities of the Network Engineer Includes:
- Evaluate existing network environments across multiple sites, including acquisitions, and develop plans to integrate them into a standardized enterprise architecture
- Design, optimize, and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions to ensure consistent performance and uptime
- Strengthen network security posture by coordinating firewall, intrusion prevention, and access control initiatives with internal teams and managed service providers
- Lead network monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis efforts while maintaining detailed documentation and diagrams
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and system administration teams to ensure seamless connectivity, directory integration, and scalable network growth
Qualifications of the Network Engineer Includes:
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks in complex, multi-site environments
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, network monitoring tools, and core networking principles (OSI model)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud environments
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for supporting network requirements across sites
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and successfully complete a government background investigation
Compensation of the Network Engineer Includes:
- Salary range: $115,000- 135,000
