We are seeking a highly experienced Network Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale network infrastructure solutions. This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Strategy
- Lead the architectural design of secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions
- Develop network design alternatives including cloud connectivity, VPCs, segmentation, routing, and load balancing
- Collaborate with cloud architects and security teams to align network strategy with enterprise standards
Solution Design & Engineering
- Design and implement enterprise network architectures across hybrid and cloud environments
- Configure and optimize networking components to meet performance and availability requirements
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security policies and standards
Security & Compliance
- Design and implement network security controls and frameworks
- Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements for sensitive data
- Apply best practices for secure network design in cloud and hybrid environments
Operations & Optimization
- Support performance monitoring and optimization of network infrastructure
- Identify and resolve network bottlenecks and reliability issues
- Ensure high availability and fault-tolerant network design
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
- Lead architecture reviews and present designs to stakeholders
- Participate in executive and project governance meetings
Documentation
- Produce and maintain high-quality network architecture documentation
- Ensure documentation aligns with enterprise standards and project requirements
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture roles, including 5+ years in enterprise-level design
- 3+ years of experience as lead architect in at least two major public cloud environments
- Experience leading at least 3 large-scale network architecture projects
- 4+ years of experience in network security and compliance
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
- Expert-level cloud networking certification
- Strong documentation skills (work samples required)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field

Location: Must reside in California. Sacramento area is preferred but not required. Hybrid work, some on-site meetings may be required by client.
