QUALIFICATIONS

Senior-level, hands-on infrastructure lead with strong VMware, Windows Server, and Azure/M365 expertise, plus leadership experience managing hybrid, multi-site environments.

Lead a team of three, providing both technical direction and people leadership.
Managing and executing complex IT projects.
Installing, configuring, and repairing hardware, software, and network systems.
Performing advanced system and network administration.
Building strong working relationships across departments
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.

 NICE TO HAVE:

endpoint management (SCCM/Intune), basic SQL admin, monitoring tools, and automation experience, along with exposure to enterprise applications and advanced identity features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages design, acquisition and installation projects; develops projected costs for information technology projects while following established project management practices.
Plans and executes LAN and WAN modification and installation projects requiring team work, including interface with customers, contractors, vendors and consultants
Implements advanced network security and access schemes.
Resolves problems related to application software, operating system, hardware, printing, and networks; refers major system problems to appropriate specialties.
Assists department users in evaluating strategic information technology options and identifying potential technology applications; designs and lays out large-scale, complex systems for installation.
Installs, configures, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains desktop computer workstations and servers and peripherals; tests hardware for proper operation.
Designs, installs, configures, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains LAN/WAN communication equipment and infra-structure equipment.
Installs, configures and maintains new and/or upgraded operating systems, applications, protocols, remote access, and network software.
Monitors complex LAN and server operations, checks for error and warning messages and takes corrective actions.
Investigates network communications issues using techniques ranging from customer interviews to in-depth packet level diagnostics.
Maintains current knowledge of the field including learning new and existing software, applications, databases and hardware.
Acts as a liaison and represents the department in meetings with other departments, contractors, vendors and other agencies.
May supervise team, conducting training, setting work priorities, scheduling of work, responding to customer concerns and escalations.
Drives a county vehicle to all county facilities and Truckee to respond in-person to offsite needs to provide services on a weekly basis.

The Senior Network System Analyst is the advanced journey-level of the series, able to work independently or as team lead in performing the most complex and difficult assignments, and serves as an escalation resource for other team members.  Provides a wide variety of professional and technical staff.   Incumbents may supervise, conduct training and provide lead direction to others.   Assignments at this level require full proficiency in two or more network. Elements such as LINUX, Windows Server, email administration, database administration, routers, SAN’s, VolP, firewalls, proxies, IPS, VPN, and/or OSI level 2 and OSI level 3 Switches.
