**Job Description** **Role Overview** We are seeking a highly proactive, execution-oriented Sr. Operations Leader to partner directly with a Vice President in driving organizational priorities, operating cadence, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional execution. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment and is comfortable operating with senior leaders, pushing for accountability, and turning ambiguity into clear action. The ideal candidate will bring strong business judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence directors and senior stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority. Prior experience in data centers, construction, or infrastructure delivery is **not required** . Candidates from top-tier management consulting, strategy, operations, program management, or corporate transformation backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. **Key Responsibilities** **Strategic Execution and Operating Cadence** + Serve as a trusted partner to the VP in driving execution across key business priorities. + Translate executive objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes. + Establish and manage operating rhythms, including leadership meetings, business reviews, weekly staff meetings, and executive updates. + Track progress against commitments and ensure follow-through from directors and cross-functional leaders. + Identify gaps, risks, delays, and misalignments early, and escalate with recommendations. **Leadership Team Effectiveness** + Partner with directors and senior leaders to drive accountability, clarity, and execution discipline. + Push teams constructively but firmly to meet deadlines, resolve blockers, and deliver high-quality outputs. + Prepare leadership meeting agendas, capture decisions, and ensure action items are completed. + Help improve communication, prioritization, and decision-making across the organization. + Act as a force multiplier for the VP by ensuring the leadership team stays aligned and focused. **Executive Communications and Materials** + Develop high-quality executive presentations, business reviews, operating plans, and decision documents. + Own the preparation of PowerPoint materials for senior leadership audiences. + Create concise, polished, visually clear communications that simplify complex topics. + Build and maintain Excel-based trackers, models, dashboards, and reporting tools. + Use Smartsheet or similar tools to manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, and accountability. **Program and Initiative Management** + Drive special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the VP. + Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure priorities are moving forward. + Build project plans, manage timelines, and monitor deliverables. + Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. + Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, budget tracking, staffing reviews, and organizational planning as needed. **Business Operations and Analytics** + Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor organizational performance. + Analyze data to surface trends, risks, and areas requiring leadership attention. + Partner with finance, operations, HR, and other functions to support planning and execution. + Ensure the VP has clear visibility into priorities, risks, decisions, and progress. **Responsibilities** **Required Qualifications** -6+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy, program management, corporate transformation, or a similar high-performance environment. + -Experience working directly with senior executives or leadership teams. + -Exceptional PowerPoint skills, including executive-level storytelling, slide design, and business presentation development. + -Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, modeling, trackers, dashboards, and reporting. + -Experience with Smartsheet or comparable project/program management tools. + -Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders. + -Strong written and verbal communication skills. + -Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in follow-through. + -Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists. + -Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and drive accountability among senior stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications** + -Experience at a major consulting firm, such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG, or a similar strategy/operations consulting environment. + -Prior Chief of Staff, business operations, strategy, transformation, or executive program management experience. + -Experience supporting a VP, SVP, GM, or equivalent senior leader. + -Familiarity with large-scale enterprise technology, cloud, infrastructure, operations, or complex delivery environments. + -Experience building executive-level dashboards, scorecards, business reviews, or operating mechanisms. **Ideal Candidate Profile** The successful candidate will be: + stakeholders at multiple levels. **Success in This Role Looks Like** Within the first 6-12 months, this person will have: + Established a clear operating cadence for the VP's leadership team. + Improved visibility into major priorities, risks, and deliverables. + Increased accountability across directors and cross-functional teams. + Built high-quality executive reporting and presentation materials. + Created reliable project tracking mechanisms using Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet. + Helped the VP spend more time on strategic decisions and less time chasing updates. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
