Work Location: Oracle SCIF, or contractor facility in Columbia, Maryland. One day per week at Customer location.
<\/div>
Duty hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5 pm (flexible). Must be available for after hours and call in support if needed. Note: Project requires scheduled OCB's on Saturday evening on an as needed basis, typically quarterly.

Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in a Data Guard configuration (1 primary, 2 standbys)
<\/div>
Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard using Data Guard Broker
<\/div>
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fast -Start Failover (FSFO) including multiple observers across distributed environments
<\/div>
Perform routine and emergency patching (RU/CPU), including planning, testing, and post -patch validation
<\/div>
Monitor database health, performance, and availability using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
<\/div>
Execute and validate switchover and fail -over operations, including reinstatement of the primary database
<\/div>
Troubleshoot Data Guard issues such as transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker -related errors
<\/div>
Maintain backup and recovery processes using RMAN, including support for FRA and flashback features
<\/div>
Strong hands -on experience with Oracle 19c on Linux (non -RAC)
<\/div>
Proven expertise with Data Guard Broker and FSFO in multi -standby environments
<\/div>
Solid experience with Oracle patching and lifecycle management
<\/div>
Working knowledge of OEM for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis
<\/div>
Experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Flashback Database
<\/div>
Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting
<\/div>
Experience supporting multi -site observer configurations
<\/div>
Familiarity with performance tuning (AWR/ASH)

Required Qualifications:
<\/div>
Role - Sr. Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years Oracle database administration experience supporting large scale or enterprise level database services.
<\/div>
10 + years’ experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database. Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
<\/div>
Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
<\/div>
Experience with DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
<\/div>
BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years’ experience.
<\/div>
Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
<\/div>
Security + CE required.
<\/div>
Desired: Currently holds or recently held SYS3 PRIVAC level.
