SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, performs advanced manual, clerical, and system related duties associated with the shipment and receipt of component parts and finished goods. Responsible for verifying and maintaining accurate records on incoming and outgoing shipments, resolving inventory and order discrepancies, supporting cycle count and inventory control activities, and serving as a functional resource for warehouse processes and office support needs. Provides backup support for warehouse administrative functions in the absence of Supervisor.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
  • Maintain > 95% inventory accuracy on Service parts and 100% on Finished goods equipment. Monthly cycle count records
  • Keeping updated and accurate records for 100% of non-sellable and used warehouse
  • Process and verify customer shipments accurately and on time using UPS, LTL, and other approved shipping methods. Support timely resolution of order, shipment, and inventory exceptions to minimize customer impact
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Reviews orders for correct part numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure the correct product and/or part is picked and shipped; identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Verifies and processes customer orders for shipment by UPS, LTL, and other carriers to support timely and accurate delivery
  • Investigates shipping, receiving, and inventory issues and initiates standard corrective actions; escalates unresolved issues as appropriate
  • Maintains accurate transaction records and enters all required warehouse activities into the company database
  • Assists with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and record audits to support inventory accuracy goals
  • Monitors stock levels of service parts, finished goods, and warehouse packing materials; communicates shortages or replenishment needs to management in a timely manner
  • Maintains inventory of cartons, tape, crates, clamps, foam, and other packing materials required for daily operations
  • Coordinates with internal departments to resolve order, inventory, and customer service issues affecting shipment accuracy or product availability
  • Provides excellent customer service by telephone, email, and in person; responds to requests for parts information and order status in a timely manner
  • Maintains warehouse and stock areas in a neat, organized, and clean condition
  • Assists with training and cross training of warehouse processes and administrative procedures for team members as assigned
  • Learns and performs warehouse office and administrative support functions in the absence of the Supervisor
  • Supports continuous improvement of warehouse procedures, organization, and recordkeeping practices
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED and five years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience is required
  • Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, shipping documentation, and customer order support is strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate materials handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handler, and hand trucks is required
  • Prior customer service experience and experience working with warehouse or ERP databases is strongly desired
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and similar shipping processes as well as Strong computer, database, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and complete detailed transactions with a high level of accuracy
  • Team player, willingness to help others as well as accepting help from others.
  • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically while following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality, and great communication skills
