Job Summary:

UKG Inc is looking for a Sr. Payroll Coordinator responsible for handling the day-to-day processing of payroll in a fast-paced multi-company, multi-pay frequency and multi-state environment. Will need to analyze and prepare payroll data while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws (USA & Puerto Rico).

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Process In-House Payroll for bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly employees

Review and validate pay for all new employees

Report all new hires via Florida New Hire Reporting

Process and track all Leave of Absences

Manage timesheets and schedules for 2000+ employees using Workforce Management application.

Process Leave of Absences

Process supplemental payrolls as needed

Process compensation changes timely and accurately

Answer employee payroll related questions pertaining to earnings, deductions, PTO, commissions, bonuses, increases etc. using the employee case management.

Accurately/timely submission of in-house tax filing, worker's compensation reporting, ACH and 3rd party export files

Process/maintain wage attachment orders and accurately set up in payroll and process checks

Provide payroll reports to applicable groups per pay period, monthly, quarterly and annually.

Be a support pilar for the internal Payroll Operations team to ensure approved processes are being upheld and process improvements are provided to department leadership

Required Qualifications:

(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

5-7 years payroll processing experience with exposure to US multi-state agencies and Puerto Rico.

Hands on experience with payroll tax deposit and filing requirements in the US and Puerto Rico.

Attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Strong customer orientation

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Computer proficiency: Microsoft - Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel Formulas/Macros and Power Point

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills

Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures

Must maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

Must facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures

3-5 years garnishment experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise, while working with deadlines

Energetic, highly motivated and team oriented

UKG Pro and Workforce Management experience a plus

(Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training)

Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Taxation, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience will be considered

The pay range for this position is $24.8077 to $35.6731. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
