Join Tesla's Payroll Tax accounting team to apply U.S.GAAP principles to Payroll operations, with statutory-basis accounting as needed. You'll ensure accurate, on-time payroll accounting, analysis, close processes, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders including Payroll, HR, Corporate Accounting, and Finance Teams to provide clear financial analysis.

  • Perform complex accounting such as multi-entity payroll, equity transactions, adjustments, regular data audits, and working with large data sets
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll close activities through effective planning and issue resolution
  • Journal entry processing and account reconciliation for US and international payroll
  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and quarterly payroll reports to assure accurate payment and timely filing
  • Internal financial reporting and analysis including payroll cash forecasting
  • Assist in preparation of annual tax documents and reports while maintaining current knowledge of payroll and taxation requirements for US and international markets
  • Design, document, and execute internal controls ensuring compliance of payroll Sox controls
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of public accounting or industry experience (Global Payroll and Tax preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office
  • Cognos BI literacy for data validation and ad-hoc analysis
  • Ability to automate manual, repetitive tasks while accurately handle highly sensitive, large, and complex data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong judgment, detail-oriented, adaptable, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities in a fast-paced culture
