The Senior Branch Service Representative will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Receives and verifies sufficient cash from supervisor or designee, to handle daily cash disbursements. Balances cash receipts and prepares daily work summary envelopes.
  • Opens various credit union accounts, including IRAs, trusts, term certificates, shares and share draft accounts.
  • Interviews loan applicants, counsels members regarding consumer loan options, prepares documents and loan records, and makes sound recommendations to loan officers.
  • Discloses and funds approved loans. In the event a loan is denied, explains reason for loan decision.
  • Assists with the maintenance, control, and security of vault cash, including ordering of cash and verifying shipments upon arrival.
  • Assists to maintain appropriate control over Instant Issue ATM cards, checking account starter kits, cashier's checks, money orders, etc., while maintaining appropriate supply levels.
  • Assists to train staff and communicates any changes to procedures or promotional information in a timely manner
  • Assists in scheduling staff to ensure proper coverage, while satisfying all applicable wage and hour laws.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of bank or credit union branch experience, including teller transactions, opening and servicing accounts, and processing and funding loan applications.
  • Basic math and 10-key skills
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Personal computer proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Information:

  • Full Time, Mon-Sat, must be available and flexible with schedule
  • Call Center experience a plus
