As the senior phlebotomy technician, you will support activities as directed by the phlebotomy supervisor. You will lead by example and positively influence your department. You will help ensure quality venipuncture techniques, maintain regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and collaborate with members of the health system to ensure phlebotomy services are meeting the needs of patients and customers. Hourly Pay Range:$18.97 - $27.98 Mid Shift Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate. Experience: 3 years of phlebotomy experience. Certification/Licensure: ASCP (or equivalent) certification. An employee hired without certification must obtain it within six months of the hire date. Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete a fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of the hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Fingerprint clearance cards must remain valid for the entire period of issuance and must be renewed prior to expiration. Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Requires excellent time management and customer service skills. Must possess basic computer skills. Requires creative, analytical, and independent thinking. Must have the ability to coordinate personnel in a manner conducive to successful planning, implementing, and controlling operations.
