Sr. Plumbing Estimator
South Charlotte Corporate office is adding a Senior Plumbing Estimator to their team Pre Construction Team. You will supervisor a team of two and be an instrumental part of the decision process in recommending projects that would align with company goals. Salary up to $110K DOE. Responsibilities Include:
Preparing bids for upcoming projects
Conducting weekly meetings to discuss project estimates with leadership and make recommendations accordingly.
Prepare bids utilizing 3rd party software
Monitor bidding process and agenda.
Determine if a bid bond, MWBE, outreach, etc. is required prior to bid due date.
Keep Subcontractors informed of projects, RFI’s, Addenda, and confirm they are bidding projects.
Follow up on project post-bid and report results including win/loss ratio.
Supervise a team of two estimators
Communicate with project managers to confirm the manpower for any projects
Update estimates, change order requests, budgets, etc.
Monitor updated material pricing
Read and understand general conditions, specifications, drawings, addenda, liquidated
damages and any other hidden surprises.
Prepare quotes using the drawings and specifications as reference. Communication with Owners, General Contractors, Vendors and Subcontractors
Assigning projects to the project managers, explaining all aspects of the project, especially if there is something different than the usual plumbing items.
