Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 3+ years aviation related experience
A minimum 3 years of experience providing engineering liaison support for aircraft during heavy maintenance/modification.
At least 3 years of specific experience in the design, work instruction development and static strength analysis of aircraft structural repairs.
Ability to reverse engineer existing structure aircraft structure to substantiate repair designs
Ability to make major decisions in the development, design, and production of structural repair, modification, and inspection documentation.
Evaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and policy requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering documentation.
Previous airline, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of composite and/or sheet metal repair.
Knowledge of both Airbus and Boeing structure.
Ability to work odd hours and/or weekends (shift work) is a MUST.
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlines.
Provide feasible alternatives to solve complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors.
Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills, strong project management skills; written and verbal communication skills; multi-tasking abilities; proven results-orientation; and strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Possess the ability to create substantiation reports in support of aircraft airworthiness.
Ability to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulations.
Possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedures.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
Previous ODA and/or DER type of experience is desired
Previous liaison engineering or MRB experience
