Overview
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership:
Follow all GDBIW and Govt. Safety Regulations.
Project Execution:
Manage subcontractors to execute tasked repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate efforts of Subcontractors and Ships Force to proactively solve issues.
Keep the Desk Man and other team members apprised of issues and resolutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Follow BIW Business Operating System principles and productivity enhancements.

Qualifications
Sr. Fleet Service Engineer: 5+ years experience required.
Principal Fleet Service Engineer: 10+ years experience required.
Candidates should have (5+) years of collective experience in Marine Engineering, USN or Commercial Fleet Lifecycle Support in the areas of maintenance and repair.
In-depth knowledge of DDG-51 Class Destroyers, along with experience gained in a Navy waterfront maintenance environment, will factor in the selection process.
Strong computer, oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team are required.
Offsite travel can approach 4 months or more, on average, in a one-year period.
Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet ships operational schedule demands.
This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance.
