What You Will Do You will serve as a technical leader for material decisions, defining where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering technical and programmatic aspects. You will drive execution of that strategy across multiple programs and be viewed as an expert, serving as a subject matter expert in high temperature applications.You will lead teams and provide mentorship, setting high fidelity simulations and models for missile system design, performance assessment, flight test support, trade studies and analysis.You will manage and coordinate a wide variety of simultaneous tasks within set schedule requirements.Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven capability interacting with cross‑functional teams.Analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to determine root cause and implement solutions expeditiously.Experience in material selections, manufacturing, and supplier management for materials or mechanical engineering related projects.Knowledge of high temperature materials: metals, composites, coatings, ceramic matrix composites, carbon/carbon, SiC/Si/C ceramics, refractory metals, ablative coatings, and high temperature alloys.Experience with high temperature test methods such as arc‑jet, and root‑cause / corrective action resolution.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Leadership experience and ability to execute project work independently in a fast‑paced environment.Understanding of manufacturing process release concepts, engineering drawings, material safety data sheets, military specifications, ASTM test methods, mechanical and chemical analysis techniques.U.S. citizenship required; active DoD Secret security clearance required.Travel as needed to support programs and vendors.Benefits Salary range: $132,400 - $251,600 USD.Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts.Flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.Annual incentive compensation programs, depending on level and collective bargaining status.U.S.-based role; benefits per company policy.EEO Statement RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
