Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Project Management- Logistics Program Management (Level 4) to join the team of qualified individuals. Position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma but can be filled remotely.
This role manages the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and acts as a liaison among project management, planning, project teams, and line management. They monitor project status, budgets, and schedules, prepare status reports, and address issues to achieve productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction objectives. They also design and use mechanisms to track progress and intervene early, partnering with project managers, line managers, and clients to resolve problems.
Essential Functions:
Individual will act as lead focal point in all logistics matters to the Program Manager, functional leadership, and government customer
Guide and assist in Technical Disciplines of all Product Support Elements as directed in the Statement of Work
Oversee and support the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between program management, Technical Teams, and support functions
Execute assigned programs successfully by managing cost, technical, schedule and risk
Effective communications skills with the ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively
Oversee program planning and execution for all Product Support activities, meeting major milestone requirements, and CDRL deliveries within compliance of program SOW
Maintain close working relationships with engineering, operations, and any suppliers applicable to assigned program
Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports
Ability to work within cost, schedule requirements and act as the control account manager (CAM) for assigned projects
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives
Develop mechanisms for tracking project progress and for intervention & problem solving with program management, IPT leads, and customers (risk mitigation strategies)
Maintain various metrics and develop associated dashboards for presentations for multiple audiences
Tool and metric development, and management of small projects within the larger program and business area
Support of internal and external customer meetings, including meeting presentation collection, and content generation, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up
Ability to understand people/technical issues impacting the programs
Understand problems and issues in the context of the bigger picture and understand relationships among subcomponents
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 8 years of experience in Project Management; OR 6 years with a Master's Degree OR PhD with 4 years of experience
Current, ACTIVE DoD Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation/ Adjudication
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills
Experience using Microsoft (MS) Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
CAM/ EVMS knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Special Program Access
Current, ACTIVE DoD Top Secret clearance
Control Account Manager (EVMS) Certified
Aerospace and/or Defense Industry experience, working knowledge of aircraft flightline operations, maintenance, and depot repair
Knowledge of Technical Data & Training source documents including but not limited to, S-1000D International Specification for Technical Publications Using a Common Source TO-00-5-1 AF Technical Order System
Experience utilizing and updating interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETIMs)
Supply Chain and/or aircraft parts ordering operations
Primary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
