Medical Devices - Sr Process & Development Engineer
Description
One of our major Clients in CA is looking for a Senior Process and Development Engineer to be responsible for balancing and bringing in new technologies for the projects and programs on the company's pipeline, with more focus on NPD working close to the design and operations teams to outline, develop and validating the processes. The ideal candidate has to be able to use design experiments to characterize processes and structured RCA processes to troubleshoot issues.
Main Responsibilities
New product development practices, design and validation to launch new products to market. Specifies detailed new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to generate final designs; and evaluates the design's overall parameters such as (effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety).
Team player with good communication skills to liaise with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
Uses of CAD or CAE systems to model new designs and elaborate detailed engineering drawings.
This is a technical role that requires deep knowledge from a professional thought leader in their respective field or discipline. This position typically requires extensive experience in a specialized field and an advanced college degree or equivalent. As a key expert, the job requires in-depth knowledge and understanding within one discipline and strong analytical skills as well as evaluative judgement based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations. The complexity implied at this level of problem solving relates to the ability to filter, prioritize, analyze and validate potentially complex and dynamic material.
