About the job Sr. Process Mechanical Engineer You will lead a project team responsible for designing water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and other related infrastructure for water and wastewater projects. Your role will involve performing design calculations, hydraulic modeling, facility layout planning, equipment selection, coordinating with support disciplines, working with equipment vendors and regulatory bodies, and conducting quality reviews. Occasional travel may be required for site assessments and construction support.Responsibilities Design water and wastewater treatment systemsAssess, select, and implement water and wastewater equipmentDesign pump stations and select appropriate pumpsDesign chemical storage and feed systemsDesign blower systems and determine blower sizingCreate process flow diagramsDevelop piping and instrumentation diagramsPrepare specifications and contract documentationProvide support for construction activitiesOversee the creation of construction drawings and 3D modelsAssist the Process Mechanical Group Leader in team management, scheduling, budget monitoring, and ensuring quality work aligned with company standardsRequirements Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited program10+ years of experience in designing water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and booster pump stationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licensureFamiliarity with hydraulic modeling software like Visual HydraulicsExperience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and control systems engineersPreferred qualifications Masters degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or a related fieldCertification as a Pump Systems Assessment ProfessionalExperience with Bluebeam softwareActive involvement in professional organizations#J-18808-Ljbffr
