Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support the acquisition of goods and services while ensuring the best overall value for the organization. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to manage procurement requests, analyze vendor options, support negotiations, and oversee purchasing processes with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review purchase requests for completeness and required approvals prior to creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Partner with internal business teams to understand procurement needs, identify appropriate vendors, obtain bids, and provide pricing and vendor analysis.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Manage day-to-day procurement-related programs and operational activities.
  • Lead or support special projects, reporting, and procurement analysis initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while resolving procurement-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and user support for procurement and eProcurement systems.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads and balance competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to work independently with moderate direction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with eProcurement or ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft.
  • Prior experience supporting supplier management, sourcing, or procurement operations.
