We are seeking a Sr Procurement Specialist. for a one year contract role with possibility of extension. This Procurement Sub-Contract Specialist should have experience with DOE or DOD contracts. Must also be familiar with the procurement of construction services and cradle to grave dealings with contracts. This role is located in New Mexico You will be allowed one paid home trip per month paid for by the client and a per diem is offered. They will also pay for Mobilization and De-Mobilzation. JOB DESCRIPTION Minimum Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in a related field is preferred; however a combination of education and experience wherein the skills and abilities to perform the positions duties and accountabilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable. ? Must have 8+ years of experience in government procurement, contracting or related field. ? Must have extensive background in conducting negotiations. ? Must have exceptional purchasing and contracting knowledge. ? Knowledge of price and cost analysis, extensive working knowledge of U. S. Government policies and regulations with preference for DOE or DOD related experience. ? Ability to perform highly specialized and varied business management and technical, administrative duties in staff function through application of specialized knowledge, principles and techniques without direction. ? Develop advanced concepts and methods to solve unique and specialized business and technical management problems. ? Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen. Additional Information: ? Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Job description: Position Description: Provide procurement leadership and support wide variety of standard and specialized procurement activities through application of innovative and creative techniques. Negotiate, award and administer major cost-type and fixed-price subcontracts of a highly critical and complex nature, for procurement of construction, technical and scientific services.
