Amazon Web Services is hiring a Sr. Product Design Engineer for the Electrical Products and Services engineering team. This electrical product focused team is a part of a global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation for products used within our rapidly expanding data center foot print. The Electrical Product Engineering team at Amazon works to design and develop resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution products and systems. As engineers at Amazon, we are responsible for achieving a world class uptime for our customers. We justify and communicate the technical decisions we make to Sr. Management and work hard to drive continuous advancements and improvements with our designs. We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background with hands-on experience in new product design and development of electrical power distribution equipment such as Low Voltage Switchgear, Power Distribution Cabinets or LV panel boards. If you can design electrical power distribution product/s and equipment, help to test and successfully test the products per latest codes and standards using third party test laboratories then you will be a good fit. You will directly lead product design and development and be a part of the process from concept to implementation. You must be capable of defining equipment specifications and evaluating the merit of design changes. You will be relied on as a subject matter expert in the product design field
