Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) is seeking an exceptional Sr. Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of enterprise systems and AI-based automation for our advanced manufacturing operations. This role will be instrumental in building scalable, intelligent manufacturing systems that integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence, orchestration automation, and enterprise platforms to support high-volume production of light industrial machinery and material handling equipment.

Enterprise Systems Leadership:

  • Lead the requirements definition and implementation of enterprise manufacturing systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Drive the integration and onboarding of enterprise platforms across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring seamless data flow and operational visibility both within facilities and to our internal customers
  • Lead the development of intelligent orchestration systems that dynamically coordinate manufacturing workflows, resource allocation, machine programming, and production sequencing
  • Develop comprehensive system architectures that connect design, production planning, shop floor execution, quality management, and supply chain operations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and IT to ensure enterprise systems meet business requirements and scale with organizational growth

AI-Based Automation & Orchestration:

  • Define and execute product strategy for AI-driven manufacturing automation, including agentic AI for process optimization, predictive maintenance, and production scheduling
  • Lead the development of intelligent orchestration systems that dynamically coordinate manufacturing workflows, resource allocation, and production sequencing
  • Implement model-based and physics-based AI solutions for simulation, real-time production decision-making, and process parameter optimization
  • Drive the integration of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies with AI/ML platforms to enable data-driven manufacturing intelligence

Technical Product Development:

  • Own the product roadmap for manufacturing software systems, balancing near-term operational needs with long-term strategic capabilities
  • Define technical requirements for cell-based, event-driven architectures that support autonomous, scalable manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement real-time quality inspection, equipment monitoring, and production optimization systems

Stakeholder Management & Strategy:

  • Serve as the primary interface between manufacturing operations, engineering teams, and technology development organizations
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into business value propositions and operational improvements
  • Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders on system requirements, implementation timelines, and success metrics
  • Present technical strategies and business cases to senior leadership, securing resources and organizational support

Key job responsibilities

  • Ability to design and implement complex, interconnected systems that span physical manufacturing and digital infrastructure
  • Strong engineering foundation with ability to engage deeply on technical architecture, data models, and integration patterns
  • Capacity to balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic capabilities and technology evolution
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across technical and business functions
  • Drive to deliver results quickly while building sustainable, scalable solutions
  • Deep commitment to understanding manufacturing operations and delivering systems that enable operational excellence

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
