TRC is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturing organization supporting highly regulated aircraft and electrical systems production. This role sits within a quality-driven engineering environment focused on inspection rigor, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in advanced manufacturing processes.
The Sr. Product Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing and overseeing inspection activities across receiving, in-process, and final inspection of electrical components, electronic assemblies, and PCBs. This role ensures conformance to aerospace quality standards, supports FAA conformity and certification activities, and contributes to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives.
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electrical components, electronic assemblies, and PCBs for defects and specification deviations
Document nonconformances clearly and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and manufacturing teams
Review completed manufacturing operations for compliance with customer and aerospace requirements
Support development of aircraft inspection plans, including harness inspection and testing processes
Assist with FAA conformity inspections and certification support activities
Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies including PFMEA, control plans, and SPC
Conduct AS9102 first article inspections and ensure compliance with documentation standards
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications including GD&T and electrical/mechanical symbols
Utilize inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin/thread gauges, and coordinate measurement equipment
Perform tolerance analysis and dimensional verification against design requirements
Identify and escalate nonconformances
Work within MES systems (e.g., SAP) and electronic inspection plan workflows
Understand measurement systems, accuracy vs. precision, and appropriate tool selection
Perform sampling inspections based on defined lot sizes and statistical requirements
Support calibration awareness and ensure measurement reliability in inspection activities
High school diploma or equivalent required
7+ years of hands-on inspection experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing
