Come Join an Inclusive Team Provides expertise and knowledge on Hazard Communication (Safety Data Sheets/labels) to follow emerging issues and regulations from a global perspective for their assigned business area(s). Interprets regulatory issues and provides recommendations to business groups, sales, external customers, distributors, plants, legal and R&D/technical. Participates in industry groups/trade organizations dealing with product safety or hazard communication issues. The position will have regional or specific business program responsibilities and maintain tactical implementation / support for defined facilities in the region of responsibility.
A Day in the Life Serves as liaison with business groups, manufacturing, R&D, sales and marketing, technical services, legal and customers on Hazard Communication issues for assigned product(s). Manage and resolve customer requests for Safety Data Sheets (SDS)/labels in assigned area(s) of responsibility to international regulations and other requirements. Monitor and manage emerging issues or changing regulations in assigned area(s) of responsibility. Provide issue analysis, response strategy and execution plans for the issues identified. Participates in the process to develop, plan and implement programs and procedures in compliance with Company Operational Excellence expectations Collaboratively work within the Product Safety team to coordinate support of regulatory issues for assigned business area. Serves as a resource on the manufacturing processes, product compositions, target markets and regulatory issues concerning assigned products for the business and other for at least one additional business area, while maintaining their responsibilities for their assigned business area. Participate in planning and execution of Hazard Communication initiatives (GHS, SAP integrations). Support large scale company projects/initiatives. Is point person for emerging issues and regulations from a global perspective for the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Interprets complex regulatory issues and provides recommendations to business groups, sales, external customers, distributors, plants, legal and R&D/Technical.
You Bring This Value BS/MS technical degree (i.e., chemistry, engineering or an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) discipline). Minimum 6 years specific functional experience in the areas of regulatory, Product Stewardship, EHS or product technical R&D is preferred. Working knowledge of two distinct manufacturing area or product lines (e.g. polymers, chemicals, compounds), with expansion into additional areas or product lines, as appropriate. Strong analytical and evaluation skills. Interpersonal capabilities to work effectively as a team member and to plan/coordinate processes for results. Strong English verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong PC skills including spreadsheets, databases – SAP experience is preferred, but not required. Develops professionally - Seeks out opportunities to broaden his/her technical and leadership skills.
