We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to optimize production planning, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to delight our customers.

At the core of the Production Planner role is driving end-to-end planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert, guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern, integrated planning platform. They will oversee the execution of critical planning processes, including production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity planning, and inventory optimization. The Production Planner partners cross-functionally to streamline planning processes, eliminate manual tasks, and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service, reduce costs, and optimize working capital. They will leverage data, analytics, and automation to generate more realistic and achievable plans that align with the company"s strategic objectives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production schedules considering equipment, labor, and material constraints
  • Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize manufacturing throughput
  • Develop and maintain short-term, medium-term, and long-term capacity models
  • Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks through constraint analysis and simulation
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital
  • Participate in S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts
  • Release and manage work orders through their complete lifecycle
  • Set-up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules
  • Leverage planning systems and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
  • Develop capacity modeling tools using SQL, Python, and visualization platforms
  • Monitor KPIs including schedule adherence, inventory turns, and supplier delivery
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics on supply plan execution
  • Partner with engineering on routings and resource rates for capacity planning
  • Communicate supply-related risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
  • Support new product introduction projects for supply planning requirements
