NAVWAR 8.0 is responsible for oversight and successful execution of all corporate operations related activities for NAVWAR in support of Navy-wide Information Dominance initiatives. Due to reorganization along functional lines, this program office is consolidating and contracting for support across several 8.0 functional areas. This includes Corporate Operations, Strategic Management, Business Planning, Workforce Management, Military Management, Process Improvement, and Corporate Communications.

 

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Sr. Program Management Specialist serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in supporting program and project requirements for Navy programs, platforms, and systems in service of a federal Navy client. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

 

This position will function as a part-time on call (PTOC) role.  

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as subject matter expert in support of program/project requirements for Navy programs, platforms and

    systems.

  • Provide direct support to a NAVWAR client for the administration of its Program Management workforce development program.

  • Support PM career field requirements and workforce skills development.

  • Develop, update, and evaluate specialized training content related to DoD acquisition and project management (e.g., risk management, etc.), and commercial IT (e.g., PMI or Scrum Master).

  • Provide recommendations related to acquisition and program management.

  • Conduct research, evaluate data, and summarize findings in an organized manner.

  • Provide stakeholder management support by maintaining the stakeholder register and supporting engagement opportunities.

  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring technical documentation such as strategies, presentations, white papers, and reports.

  • Provide configuration management of developed artifacts.

  • Attend meetings and document meeting minutes/notes as required.

  • Perform other duties as required to support Program Management workforce competency and skills development.

  • Provide leadership and oversight of a program's planning, execution, management, control and reporting of cost, schedule and performance.

  • Serve as an INDUS ambassador and exhibit our corporate core values through your engagement with customers, employees, and industry partners, and vendors.

  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
  • Ten (10) years of experience providing specialized acquisition program planning, interpreting and applying financial management principles, and leading teams with analysis-based decisionmaking processes within a NAVWAR environment.
  • DAWIA Level III/Advanced certification required.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related technical field desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.

 

 

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $72.00 - $96.00 per hour (part-time). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
