    Description

The AWS Support People eXperience Team (PXT) exists to accelerate the trajectory of the Support business by building and scaling people strategies and operating models in an AI-augmented environment.

In the Sr Program Manager role, you will lead end-to-end execution of people initiatives, leverage data and emerging AI capabilities to inform decisions, and operate across a wide range of problem-solving scenarios from strategic to real-time. As Support evolves its workforce model creating new roles, redefining existing ones, and building capabilities at the intersection of human judgment and AI, you will design and drive the people initiatives that enable that transformation.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, thinks big, and drives change through metrics, experimentation, and a genuine curiosity for how AI can transform people processes. You earn trust, have strong ownership, and bring a track record of delivering results in complex, global organizations. This role requires collaboration across AWS Support and broader Amazon teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence with data-driven recommendations.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Lead delivery and end-to-end execution of strategic people initiatives across AWS Support PXT, ensuring alignment with business priorities and people strategy.
    • Proactively experiment with and leverage AI tools to enhance people processes, improve efficiency, and deliver innovative solutions across the employee lifecycle.
    • Drive talent management and development initiatives that build leadership capability, accelerate career growth, and strengthen the talent pipeline across AWS Support.
    • Own and drive the PXT business rhythm including planning cycles, goal-setting mechanisms, business reviews, and operational cadences, to ensure the PXT team operates with rigor and transparency.
    • Act as the central nervous system for the Support PXT team
    • Leverage problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset to identify and remove process roadblocks and look around corners with PXT initiatives.
    • Implement regular reviews of current processes, develop suggestions for improvements, quickly identify obstacles, and prioritize changes to maximize impact.
    • Lead and contribute to written narratives to disseminate impact and learning of initiatives to senior leadership and PXT stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams within AWS Support.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
