Whole Foods Market (WFM) is building a leading-edge, enterprise-wide demand planning capability that connects merchandising, supply chain, and technology to drive smarter, faster decisions at scale. The Demand Planning Capabilities Program is at the forefront of this work - defining the future of how WFM plans, forecasts, and operates across the business.
The Sr. Program Manager of Demand Planning Capabilities is responsible for driving execution of WFM"s demand planning program across a complex, cross-functional stakeholder landscape. This role is the connective tissue between business teams and technology partners, ensuring that program goals are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered with rigor.
The ideal candidate is a structured thinker and strong communicator who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level - translating ambiguous business problems into clear program plans, driving alignment across senior stakeholders, and holding teams accountable to outcomes. This role requires deep curiosity about demand planning and forecasting, a customer obsessed mindset for stakeholder engagement, and an innate desire to drive progress and clarity.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
In the morning, you triage Slack threads from Supply Chain, Tech, and Merchandising partners, then facilitate a cross-functional working group to drive alignment on the forecasting roadmap. Midday, you synthesize program status and surface risks for a leadership review. After lunch, you shift to deep work - writing an operating model proposal or refining the demand planning KPI framework.
