The Americas DSP organization partners with entrepreneurial individuals who manage their own delivery businesses (DSPs) across the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. Together, we build sustainable and scalable delivery capacity so that Amazon can continue to delight customers with fast, efficient, and bar raising fulfillment of their orders. Our North Star goal is to improve DSP Quality and help them scale their business. Quality partners operate safely and reliably, meet performance standards, take a long-term view of their business relationship with Amazon as they engage with the program, adhere to program policies, and manage healthy businesses. Within the Americas DSP organization, the DSP Shared Services team drives scalable solutions for our DSP and internal partners. We standardize complex tasks for a team of Account Managers to execute with quality.

The Sr. Program Manager will work cross-functionally to define and execute a roadmap that focuses on expansion to new countries, improving delivery quality and the DSP experience. In addition to strategy development and execution, the person in this role will create, optimize, and drive adoption of critical mechanisms that ensure their program(s) will be successful in the long-term. They will proactively deliver business and senior leader reviews, aligning teams toward coherent strategies that move the needle on quality, speed, and cost. This will be a highly visible role, meaning that the optimal candidate will be adept at building consensus and able to represent, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to senior leadership. A strong candidate will be able to dive deep, identify root causes, and move between strategy and execution on a daily basis. They will have a proven track record in taking end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Translate complex business problems into straightforward and efficient solutions for the broader team
  • Create, optimize, and drive adoption of quality metrics
  • Analyze complex business data, generate actionable insights, drive cross-functional solutions, and report progress to senior leadership

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
