The Senior Quality Engineer will take a role in ensuring all products and processes meet stringent quality standards. This highly experienced position involves advanced problem-solving, strategic planning, and overseeing quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality.
Solve complex quality issues using advanced analytical techniques.
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.
Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities.
Mentor and train junior quality engineers and other staff.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes.
Oversee supplier quality assurance programs and audits.
Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues.
Participate in program reviews and risk assessments to identify potential quality issues early
Provide quality input during program planning, design reviews, and stage-gate processes.
Coordinate quality activities and resources to support program milestones and deliverables.
Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and quality team members.
Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality.

Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
8+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field.
Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Knowledge and experience in Aviation industry
Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements.
Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection.
Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
Essential Functions:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.
Majority of work hours spent on a computer.
Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools.
Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.
