Sr. Project Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-driven Senior Project Accountant to support the financial success of complex construction projects. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead monthly progress billings, lien releases, and financial reporting
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate, timely invoicing
• Analyze project financials (over/under billing, cost tracking, forecasting)
• Manage change orders, budgets, and contract compliance
• Oversee project setup, documentation, and insurance (wrap-up programs)
• Maintain accurate billing records, logs, and audit-ready documentation
• Drive accounts receivable, collections, and discrepancy resolution
• Perform job cost analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve billing processes and efficiency

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience in construction/project accounting
• Strong knowledge of billing, cost control, and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Dynamics AX preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Compensation:

The Hourly range for this position is from $80K to $96K, depending on experience.
