We are looking for a motivated civil engineer with 8+ years of experience in site and civil design who is interested in developing and managing a wide variety of public and private sector projects while continuing to grow technically and professionally.Our Site/Civil design team consists of civil engineers, landscape architects, and community planners who collaborate to deliver projects from concept planning and master planning through final design, bidding, construction administration/observation, and project commissioning. We develop complete site design solutions, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, construction details, technical specifications, and bid documents. As part of a multidisciplinary firm, you will collaborate with landscape architects, community planners, transportation engineers, water/wastewater engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, architects, and other specialists to deliver holistic and sustainable solutions for our clients.The projects we plan and design are diverse and impactful, including:Parks, plazas, and public gathering spacesMunicipal streetscapes, downtown, waterfront, and BOA revitalization projectsAthletic fields, sports complexes, and recreational facilities (K-12, Higher Ed.)Trails, shared-use paths, sidewalks, and pedestrian networksSchool campuses and educational facilitiesParking lots, roadways, access drives, and circulation systemsPublic infrastructure and site development projectsGrant-funded community improvement and revitalization projectsPrivate development and institutional site design projectsResponsibilitiesServe as project manager and/or client manager for select clients of assigned projectsMentor, collaborate with, and review work completed by junior staff and/or direct reports – develop and foster a positive team environmentComplete technical quality assurance/quality control reviews of staff design documents, calculations, and reportsAssist with and lead prospective and proposal efforts, including preparing scopes, effort hour and fee estimatesPrepare and present technical presentations internally and externally at client and professional organization eventsParticipate on company committees and user groupsDevelop projects from concept plans and master plans, through funding applications and final construction documentsServe as lead engineer for the firm's Municipal Designated Engineer clients in proximity to your home officeCoordinate and meet with project teams, clients, regulatory and funding agencies, and contractorsRequirementsB.S. in Civil Engineering8+ years of relevant consulting engineering experienceStrong technical experience in site design, grading plans, drainage, and stormwater managementExperience preparing construction plans, details, technical specifications, and bill documentsStrong understanding of site development constructabilityProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicrostationStrong written/verbal communication and project management skills, including attendance at municipal and planning board meetings, public informational meetings and hearingsPE licenseThis position offers opportunities for mentorship, project management and leadership, team building, strategic growth, and long-term professional development within a collaborative and well-established practice.Estimated Pay Range$115,000 - $140,000/year.Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.Barton & Loguidice is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
