Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, execution, and financial performance of multiple projects of varying size and complexity. This individual will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong experience in construction project management—ideally within data center or structured cabling environments.

Position Details
  • Exempt salaried position (compensation based on experience)
  • Contract role with potential for extension or conversion
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7: 00 AM –3: 30 PM (additional hours as needed)
  • Fully onsite at a project site
  • Travel: Up to 15%

Key Responsibilities
Project & Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage project teams, including project managers, construction managers, and field technicians
  • Oversee projects from planning through execution and closeout
  • Drive accountability, performance, and team development

Project Execution
  • Manage project schedules to meet or exceed performance expectations
  • Oversee installation strategies, sequencing, and execution
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Financial Management
  • Own project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Track and report on project performance metrics
  • Manage labor, materials, and equipment to align with budget and schedule

Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting, and executive-level communication
  • Represent the organization in meetings and ensure alignment on project goals

Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Coordinate vendors and ensure quality and timely delivery

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across all project sites
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment

Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives
  • Leverage construction technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Contribute to process development and best practices

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of progressive construction project management experience
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects
  • Strong background in data center construction, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems
  • Experience managing teams of 50–100+ field resources
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery methods (lump sum, GMP, T&M, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of project management frameworks (e.G., PMBOK)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects (data centers, network environments, etc.)
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber systems, and connectivity solutions
  • Experience in active construction environments with complex coordination needs
  • OSHA-30 certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • RCDD or similar industry certifications are a plus

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with construction/project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
