Sr. Project Manager (Electronic Security) - Data Centers

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee electronic security projects within data center environments. This role is focused on access control, CCTV, and related electronic security systems, with responsibility for managing projects from kickoff through installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of data center construction and has experience coordinating security work in environments where schedule, documentation, uptime, and quality are critical.

Responsibilities

• Manage electronic security projects within data center and other mission critical environments

• Oversee access control, CCTV, surveillance, and related security system installations

• Manage projects from initial kickoff through design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and final closeout

• Coordinate with general contractors, electrical contractors, owners, consultants, vendors, technicians, and other trades

• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and system designs

• Track project schedules, budgets, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, material procurement, and project documentation

• Coordinate security system installation with ongoing data center construction activities

• Monitor field progress and address scheduling, installation, and technical issues before they impact the project

• Work closely with field technicians and installation teams to ensure systems are installed according to design and project requirements

• Coordinate system testing, programming, commissioning, and customer turnover

• Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates to internal leadership and customers

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience within electronic security, low voltage, or systems integration

• Direct experience managing access control and CCTV projects

• Data center or other mission critical construction experience strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of electronic security system installation and integration

• Experience working with systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, S2, Brivo, or similar platforms

• Ability to read and understand security, electrical, architectural, and low voltage drawings

• Experience managing multiple projects, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel

• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation

• Comfortable working directly with general contractors, owners, consultants, and other project stakeholders

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to identify problems early and drive them through resolution

What We Are Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone who understands electronic security and can manage the technical, operational, and customer-facing aspects of access control and CCTV projects.

The strongest candidates will have a combination of electronic security project management experience and data center or mission critical construction experience. You should be comfortable walking a jobsite, understanding what the technicians are doing, reviewing drawings and project documentation, and communicating effectively with both the field and the customer.

Experience managing large, complex deployments with aggressive schedules and multiple stakeholders is highly valued.
