The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing engineering-focused programs within manufacturing or product development environments. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring experience driving stage-gate processes, coordinating technical teams, and ensuring successful execution across engineering, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing functions.

This opportunity is based onsite in the Atlanta area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional new product development and product launch initiatives through the full development lifecycle
  • Manage structured product development and stage-gate processes, ensuring milestone readiness and governance alignment
  • Coordinate efforts across engineering, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, testing, and operations teams
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules aligned to commercialization and launch targets
  • Identify program risks related to schedule, technical execution, cost, quality, and supply chain readiness
  • Facilitate program reviews, design reviews, launch readiness checkpoints, and executive updates
  • Support prototype builds, validation testing, pilot production activities, and industrialization efforts
  • Ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing capability, including DFM/DFA considerations
  • Track and report on key program metrics related to quality, engineering maturity, timing, and launch readiness
  • Drive issue resolution and support decision-making across technical and operational teams
  • Support engineering change management processes, scope management, and requirements traceability
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to product development and program execution

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of experience leading engineering, product development, or New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
  • Strong experience managing stage-gate or structured product development methodologies
  • Background working within engineering and manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of product development lifecycles, validation processes, and industrialization activities
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Ability to manage complex technical programs with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience facilitating project governance, risk management, and executive reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery environments
  • Exposure to manufacturing ramp-up, pilot builds, or commercialization initiatives
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes and launch readiness activities

How to Apply
