HVAC Controls Project Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO

Overview: We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead Building Automation and HVAC controls projects in the St. Louis market. This role is hands-on and central to how our projects are delivered—owning everything from kickoff through commissioning and closeout.

You’ll be working with customers, field teams, subcontractors, and internal engineering resources to keep projects moving, solve problems in real time, and ensure systems are delivered the right way.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead multiple BAS/HVAC controls projects from booking through final turnover
  • Manage day-to-day project execution, keeping work on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate across design, programming, installation, commissioning, and closeout phases
  • Work closely with field technicians, programmers, subcontractors, and customers to drive progress
  • Review project scope, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment throughout the job lifecycle
  • Manage material procurement, equipment delivery schedules, and subcontractor performance
  • Track project financials, including billings, change orders, and cost control
  • Support commissioning efforts and help troubleshoot system-level issues when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation including RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and closeout packages
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to both internal teams and clients
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with project and company standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction (BAS/controls experience strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building operations
  • Experience managing projects that involve multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and contract scope management
  • Comfortable operating in active construction environments and working alongside field teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate both technical and client-facing conversations
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and keep things moving with minimal oversight
