Senior Project Manager

12-18 month Contract

5 days onsite in Richmond VA

Theyll be mainly focused on applications/software development projects including custom development efforts (.Net, SQL) as well as SaaS platforms. The majority of the development will be done offshore.

1. Job Description

a. Develop complex program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

b. Can lead complex projects

c. Conducts complex program and project management assessments

d. Exhibits strong leadership skills and leads project teams

e. Manages the integration of project management activities

f. Acquires customer product and business process knowledge from domain experts and use the information in every aspect of leading analysis, design and implementation efforts

g. Specifies requirements, scope level of effort, assess team member strengths and give work assignments with delivery dates in mind

2. Job Qualifications

a. Proficient written and oral communication skills

b. Knowledgeable of cost/integrated scheduling and can perform earned value analysis

c. Identifies risk, provides analysis and contingency planning

d. Creates detailed plans for consulting projects

e. Writes design documents and specifications

f. Technical mentoring and leadership skills

g. Facilitates requirements definition sessions

3. Education and Experience

a. Bachelor's degree and/or 7 years equivalent work experience

b. Minimum of 7 years Project Management experience

c. Minimum of 5 years business/industry knowledge

d. Minimum of 3 years' experience in information technology
