Position SummaryOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of Salesforce application-rationalization initiatives supporting its Digital Technology Safety & Security organization. The selected consultant will assume responsibility for several Safety and Client Police Department applications, including SPARTN, Watch List, DAG, and related systems scheduled to begin in FY27.
This individual will coordinate business, technology, security, Salesforce, and vendor stakeholders to assess the current application landscape, establish project plans, manage dependencies and risks, and guide each initiative through rationalization and delivery. The successful candidate will be a highly organized project leader who can operate effectively in a complex enterprise environment and communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multiple Salesforce application-rationalization projects supporting Safety, Security, and Client Police Department business functions.
- Assume ownership of projects such as SPARTN, Watch List, DAG, and other related Salesforce applications.
- Develop and maintain project charters, integrated schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps.
- Assess existing applications and coordinate decisions concerning consolidation, modernization, enhancement, migration, replacement, or retirement.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering and application-assessment sessions with business owners, technical teams, Salesforce specialists, security stakeholders, and vendors.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, success measures, and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Coordinate work across business, application-development, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, testing, operations, and vendor teams.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests.
- Track progress against approved schedules and budgets while escalating obstacles requiring leadership attention.
- Lead recurring status meetings, project reviews, working sessions, and executive briefings.
- Prepare clear status reports, dashboards, presentations, meeting materials, and decision documentation.
- Manage project governance and ensure adherence to enterprise project-management, security, technology, and change-control standards.
- Coordinate testing, implementation readiness, deployment, transition, and post-production stabilization activities.
- Ensure business stakeholders remain engaged and that delivered solutions support Safety and Security operational needs.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of progressive project or program-management experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent application-development, modernization, migration, or rationalization projects.
- Exposure to Salesforce projects, platforms, implementations, enhancements, or application portfolios.
- Strong experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, roadmaps, status reporting, and governance materials.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, senior stakeholders, risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities.
- Experience guiding projects through requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Strong understanding of traditional waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide structure within a complex, evolving project environment.
- Willingness and ability to work within an East Coast schedule and report to the Washington, DC REA Building when required.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience leading Salesforce application-rationalization, consolidation, modernization, or migration initiatives.
- Experience supporting public safety, corporate security, law enforcement, transportation, government, or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with application-portfolio management and rationalization frameworks.
- Experience coordinating cybersecurity, privacy, data, integration, and compliance requirements.
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or comparable project-management certification.
- Experience working within large enterprise or public-sector technology organizations.
