Sr. Project Managers

Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of technology and consulting projects, including project planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, stakeholder communications, and quality assurance. Lead cross-functional teams, facilitate Agile/Scrum meetings, monitor project performance and financials, prepare status and forecast reports, and ensure timely delivery of client-facing deliverables. Support team development through mentoring, task coordination, and process improvement initiatives.

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end project and program delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with client and business objectives. Core responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams across multiple offices, coordinating communication among internal stakeholders, external vendors, and customers, and proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating delivery risks.

The role oversees project planning, scope definition, budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and resource allocation, including development of project plans, work breakdown structures, proposals, contracts, and client-facing scope negotiations. It also manages project execution through the full life cycle, monitors progress, quality, cost, and schedule performance, and ensures corrective actions are implemented when variances arise.

In addition, the role leads Agile and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while tracking velocity, release progress, and alignment to enterprise goals. The position supports team leadership by mentoring staff, assigning responsibilities based on skills and project needs, setting performance standards, and fostering collaboration and professional development.

At the program and portfolio level, the role coordinates multiple concurrent engagements, manages dependencies and resource capacity, develops strategic roadmaps, and ensures consistency across initiatives. It also supports PMO process improvement through retrospectives, lessons learned, analysis of performance trends, and recommendations to management for continuous operational enhancement.

Requirements for this position:

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in computer science, information systems, education or related field + 5 years of progressive experience in Project Management or related role. Experience to include:

• Software development life cycle in enterprise project management

• Working on M365-related projects utilizing M365 technologies and applications, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Whiteboard and Planner

• Web development

• Project Management Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and ability to find the appropriate tools based on the business needs and technologies to be used for specific projects.

• Experience managing Microsoft-funded technology engagements, including projects funded through the End Customer Investment Funds (ECIF) program

• MS Office tools, MS Teams, Azure DevOps, or other complex software tool sets

• Pipedrive, Float, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Azure DevOps, Geco, Microsoft Project, Power Point, and Miro

• Managing multiple concurrent enterprise technology projects and cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams.

• Project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, utilization tracking, and actual-versus-budget analysis

• Managing client-facing technology consulting engagements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across technical, development, adoption/change management, and business workstreams

• Strategic thinking, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Leadership ability (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising)

• Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedule work)

• Problem solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)

• Effective skills in communicating, both verbal and written

• Understanding project complexity and the required skill set and minimal level of each team member

• Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master required

Position based out of Chicago, IL. Hybrid WFH 90% and WFO 10% within Chicago, IL. MSA. Criminal background check required. Multiple positions available.

Salary: $133,475 - $140,000
