Job Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of major programs and/or projects. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process.
Essential Functions
- Oversees medium to large-sized, multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross-functional experts. Projects may be system-wide.
- Drives project progress including assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Manages work plans and aids in the assessment of resource requirements to achieve desired outcomes.
- Directs re-engineering efforts and ensures projects achieve expected business outcomes.
- Analyzes and documents processes, procedures, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.
- Communicates, collaborates, and networks with key stakeholders, business partners, and executive leadership to ensure continuity, coordination of services, and appropriate resource utilization.
- Acts as a mentor to others.
- Participates on committees/task forces as a member, consultant, and/or chair.
- Develops and leads larger project teams.
- Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and resolution of significant issues.
- Develops recommendations for leadership consideration.
- Competent to work through all phases of projects with executive-level leadership.
- Provides guidance, direction, and training to less experienced Project Specialists.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous leadership, management, and/or project management experience.
