Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI automation testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test frameworks that ensure high-quality software delivery. Experience with Squish UI Automation is strongly preferred.

This role requires a hands-on automation professional who can collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders, and QA teams to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable automated testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test frameworks for desktop, web, and embedded applications.
• Create robust, reusable, and scalable automation scripts using Python and JavaScript.
• Develop and execute regression, smoke, and functional automation test suites.
• Build and maintain object repositories, object mapping, verification points, and checkpoints.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with development teams to perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigation.
• Evaluate application requirements for testability and automation feasibility.
• Improve automation coverage while reducing test maintenance and execution time.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and continuous process improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other QA engineers.

Required Skills

• 7–15 years of Quality Assurance experience with a strong focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with UI Automation for Desktop, Web, and Embedded applications.
• Strong programming experience in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with GUI automation concepts, including object mapping, verification points, and checkpoints.
• Strong knowledge of regression, smoke, functional, and integration testing.
• Experience with Git for source control.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Squish UI Automation (strongly preferred).
• Experience testing Qt-based applications.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Robot Framework.
• Familiarity with automation framework design and long-term maintenance strategies.
